Stanier buffet coach D1948

Ultima Models kit on the recently-available Farish Stanier bogies.

Straightforward to build, solid and strong; although I’d have struggled to follow the instructions without a copy of “LMS Coaches” to hand.

A test build before attempting a rake of non-corridors. Roof panelling using cotton thread! Two fiddly bits: numbering (wouldn’t have bothered if didn’t need to add the “Buffet” decal); and the coach-end handrails (made harder as I chose to make the roof removable to access a battery for lighting).
