My other model railways.....
Tamerton Foliot Light Railway (009)
An end-to-end layout modelling the village of Tamerton Foliot where I grew up on the outskirts of Plymouth. The LSWR main Plymouth-Waterloo line passed nearby and a station was built 2 miles from the village. In my re-imagining, the distance was too great for the gentry and a light railway was built for their convenience. The railway also carries agricultural produce for London: strawberries and rabbits.
The model has two connected scenes: a village with adjacent harbour (much grander than reality: the village lies at the end of a tidal creek which is mostly mud flats), and a connection to the standard gauge main line. It is portable in one car and requires two operators at exhibition.
Many more photographs, and details for exhibitions are on the website TamertonFoliotLightRailway.

Astbury Junction (N)
‘Astbury Junction’ is a town-based loft layout set in the early 1950s (BR early crest). I set it in the Peak District north-eastern corner of Cheshire, which allows me to run a mix of ex-LNER and ex-LMS types plus BR standards and an odd ex-GWR visitor. It isn’t based on a specific place, but the buildings bear a passing resemblance to those around Marple Bridge, where the GCR/NS joint line from Macclesfield met the GCR/MR joint line to Hayfield. It was featured in the N Gauge Society Journal issues 6/22 and 1/25.
